Why I Started
Coaching
Life is too short to be less than you were meant to be. Throughout my finance and nonprofit careers, I've worked with amazing companies and people who have been stuck. Sales goals felt unachievable. Balance was unimaginable. Business strategy was untenable. Seeing the burnout and human cost was unacceptable to me so I chose to embark on the coaching path with professional training so that I could leverage my skillset to begin transforming my community one person, entrepreneur, and company at a time. A raindrop creates infinite ripples.

My Story
I have always been interested in people and business. I started my business journey as a Personnelman in the United States Navy; after being honorably discharged after Desert Shield/Desert Storm, I began my business studies at the University of Utah and my entrepreneurial journey working with Blockbuser Video franchisees as they opened stores. There was a stint with bike shops and skiing just for good measure. After graduating from the University of Utah with a business degree, I was lucky to be accepted into a management trainee program with a large regional bank where I became a commercial underwriter and eventually a commercial banker. Over my 15-year career in commercial banking, I literally worked with hundreds of corporations and small businesses to help them find their success. As the shine of selling money wore off, I chose to take a position as the Executive Director of the Business Incubator Center and Riverview Technology Corporations in Grand Junction, Colorado were I led two high performing world-class nonprofits for ten years. Working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, communities all over the world, economic leaders, thought leaders and a dedicated staff and partners enabled me to affect change. Over my 10-year incubator time, I became certified in lean launch technologies, business models, business strategies, became a SBDC coach, SCORE coach, and graduated from Coach-U as a certified life coach (I am currently working on my ACC and PCC with the ICF). I'm wicked passionate about helping people and businesses find their success.................as they define it for themselves.
What can I do for you?
I would love to help you and/or your business in the areas of coaching you and your staff around making your life work for you, consulting on your business, and/or working with your nonprofit organization. I've separated my services/expertise into three areas to help make it easier, however, it may be that the areas overlap and that's ok. Your success is my passion so have fun with the areas and ask questions.
Executive and Life Coaching
Time to work on you
Coaching is a comprehensive process that may involve all areas of your life including work, finances, health, relationships, education and recreation. Deciding how to handle these issues and implement your choices is exclusively your responsibility. Coaching is a relationship you have with your coach that is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals.

As the former Executive Director of a high performing world-recognized nonprofit I have the skills to work with your organization. If your nonprofit is struggling with ED development (or burnout), Board Development, Grant Writing, Strategy, Organizational Management, or something else. I can help.
